Overdraft Service

Banco Popular's Overdraft Service gives you peace of mind by covering those transactions or withdrawals made with your ATH® card even if you don't have sufficient funds in your account. This is especially helpful when you have unexpected expenses. If you want to keep this service available on your account please read this information.

What are the advantages for you?

This service makes possible that your transactions or withdrawals made with your ATH® card be processed even when you have insufficient funds in your account, so your transactions will not be declined. However, this does not guarantee that your overdrafts will always be processed to cover these transactions.

If you want to maintain this service available on your account you must send your consent before August 15, 2010.

What happens if you do not respond before August 15?

If we do not receive your authorization before this date, transactions or withdrawals made with your ATH® card with insufficient funds will be automatically declined.

What are the costs?

The Bank will charge you a fee of up to $15 each time we pay an overdraft for withdrawals and transactions made with your ATH® debit card. Also, if your account is overdrawn for 2 or more consecutive business days, we will charge an additional $4 per day. There is no limit on the total fees we can charge you for overdrawing your account.
